Four years ago, Posey, a pregnant cat showed up at Claudia Wright’s door. Without a second thought, Wright adopted the fur baby right away.
Later, Posey gave birth to three kittens, and they were raised until they were old enough to be adopted into families of their own. However, Posey never seemed to lose that motherly instinct. Once a mom, always a mom – or so they said.
Four years later, after Posey went outside one day to play, she came back with a big surprise for Wright: a kitten.
“I guess she missed having a baby around and found one,” Wright explained.
During an adventure outside, Posey came across a 7-week-old kitten. Her maternal instinct kicked in, so it was only natural she couldn’t leave the baby by herself there. “The kitten has never been seen around the neighborhood,” Wright stated. “I already verified the kitten isn’t anyone else’s. Meesy must have gotten separated from her mother and she and Posey may have just come across each other.”
Being too small, Meesy had to be bottle fed. Wright and Posey took care of her together. Wright fed and watched over the baby in her free time, and whenever she wasn’t holding Meesy, Posey was right there with her. She cuddled, groomed, and protected the little one as if Meesy was one of her own. “They love each other,” Wright stated. “They’ve completely adopted each other.”
What a happy ending for all of them!
