Blue and his two sisters Meadow and Little Willow, three blind cats, just got adopted by Catherine Magno. These kittens were found just before the Christmas of 2014, in an old warehouse, which was no longer functional, in Dubai. The owner of these kittens had abandoned them because they had caught cat flu. Due to this flu the little kittens lost their sight, since the owner did not get them treated. They were brought to a foster home where the big brother, Blue, was almost adopted by its old owner’s neighbor. Blue couldn’t fit in well because he missed his sisters and kept weeping while looking for them, all night long. After sometime Blue was sent back to the foster home and the siblings reunited. On one Fortunate night of 19th February 2015, a lady called Catherine decided to adopt these three kittens.
“I had zero experience having adopted my first ever rescue kitten just a couple of months prior,” shared Catherine “But their story touched my heart so much that I couldn’t bear the thought of them put in a cage at vet facility indefinitely or even worse.”
Catherine expressed how worried she was about her new pets and said, “My perception was that it’s going to not only be challenging but will also require a lot of adjustments on my part,” but, later she realized it wasn’t that hard. “The only adjustment early on was keeping everything where it was but they are remarkably adaptive.” Catherine puts it incredibly: “Blind pets see through their hearts.”
